How to Apply AIOU Jobs 2026

1. The AIOU Services Statutes 1978, as amended from time to time, the "AIOU Recruitment & Promotion Rules 2022" Policy, and the Internal Assessment Framework approved by the University's apex body are all available on the AIOU website. The eligibility of the candidates will be determined based on HEC criteria, and the subsequent shortlisting and scrutiny will strictly be determined and carried out in accordance with these provisions.

2. Maximum age limit as prescribed under Rules shall be relaxed in pursuance of Relaxation of Upper Age Limit Rules, 1993 (amended from time to time), as provided in AIOU Services Statutes 1978 (amended from time to time).

3. Applicants are required to apply online, through AIOU Job Portal “careers.aiou.edu.pk”.

4. Applications for Professor and Associate Professor positions must be submitted online, followed by hard copies (four sets in binding form and one soft copy (CD) in PDF format), attested copies of academic documents, research articles, pertinent documentary testimonials of all conference paper details, the number of students supervised at the M.Phil. and Ph.D. levels, details of Research Grant Projects, Community Development/Social Responsibility, and paid original Bank Challan. The undersigned must receive the applications (hard copy and soft copy) by the deadline.

5. In absence of Online application, hard & soft copies of the applications will not be entertained. The submission of dossier in hard form is mandatory after submission of online application.

6. Applicants working on Regular/acting charge/ officiating/ Ad-hoc/current charge, and/or contract basis in Government/Semi-Government and Autonomous Bodies (including employees of AIOU) must apply through proper channel and submit NOC, service certificate(s) issued by the respective Controlling Authority, by due date, failing which application shall be considered incomplete and liable to be rejected.

7. Information claimed in online application form shall be treated as final, subsequent claims, earlier not given in online application form, shall not be considered afterthought and an attempt to become eligible. Such subsequent claims shall not be accepted.

8. The AIOU reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts or not to fill any post / withhold the appointment against any post, without assigning any reason thereof.

9. The schedule of processing fee is:

BPS-20 & BPS-21 : Rs. 5000/-
