Eligibility Criteria of MES Jobs

1. Educational Qualification & Experience

Labourer & Sanitary Worker (Sweeper): Requires a Primary school education.

Upholsterer: Requires a Matric degree along with one year of trade experience.

Mason: Requires a Middle school education along with a Certificate of trade (Mason) from a recognized Technical Training Institute and one year of job experience.

Polisher: Requires a Matric degree along with a Certificate of trade (Polisher) from a recognized Technical Training Institute and one year of job experience in a Government, Semi-Government, or reputed firm.

2. Age Limit (General)

The required age limit for all these posts is 18 to 30 years.

This age limit already includes the general relaxation of 5 years.

The age will be calculated exactly as of the closing date of applications, which is 21 June 2026.

3. Special Age Relaxation Criteria

Candidates belonging to certain categories can claim further age relaxation (only one category can be claimed):

3 Years Relaxation: For candidates from Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, recognized tribes of Tribal Areas, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and candidates with a Sindh (Rural) or Balochistan domicile.

15 Years Relaxation (or actual years served, whichever is less): For Released or Retired Personnel/Officers of the Armed Forces of Pakistan.

10 Years Relaxation: For Government servants and contract employees who have completed 2 years of continuous Government service by the closing date.

5 Years Relaxation: For the widow, son, or daughter of a civil servant who died during service.

4. Domicile & Quota Eligibility

Candidates must possess a valid domicile corresponding to the allocated seats (e.g., Merit, Punjab, Sindh-U, Sindh-R, KPK, Balochistan, FATA, or AK).

There are specific reserved seats for Non-Muslim candidates under the Punjab quota for the posts of Mason, Labourer, and Sanitary Worker.

How to Apply MES Jobs 2026

1. Application Method (How to Apply)

Candidates must apply online only.

The official website for submission is www.mes.gov.pk.

Government servants and existing MES staff must also apply through the online portal and forward their NOC through their respective departments.

2. Deadline (Last Date)

The last date for the online submission of applications is 21 June 2026.

3. Age Limit & Relaxation

The general age limit for all posts is 18 to 30 years (which already includes a general relaxation of 5 years).

The age of candidates will be calculated as of the closing date, 21 June 2026.

Additional upper age relaxation is admissible for specific categories (such as Scheduled Castes, Sindh Rural/Balochistan, Released/Retired Armed Forces personnel, continuous Govt servants, and widows/children of deceased civil servants) under specific rules.

4. Test Centers & Communication

The Skill (practical) test will only be conducted in specified cities: Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Karachi, and Quetta.

Candidates must explicitly select their exam center in the online application form.

Call letters for tests and interviews will not be sent by post; they will only be uploaded to the official website (www.mes.gov.pk). Candidates must keep visiting the site.

All official communications will be made through a valid, active mobile number.

5. Required Documents at the Time of Interview

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. They must bring the following documents in original along with attested photocopies:

3 x Latest passport-size photographs.

Attested photocopies of educational qualifications.

Attested copy of CNIC.

Domicile duly verified by the concerned district.

Experience Certificates (if applicable).

For Army retired personnel: Attested copy of discharge certificate DASB / service certificate / NOC.

For Non-Muslim candidates: A declaration on oath duly verified by a Magistrate Grade-I.

6. Key Rules & Regulations

No TA / DA will be provided for appearing in the test or interview.

If any information or document is found fake or bogus at any stage, the candidature will be canceled immediately, and disciplinary/criminal action will be taken.
