About NHA:

The National Highway Authority (NHA) is an agency of the Government of Pakistan, responsible for the management, development, and maintenance of Pakistan’s national highways and motorway network. The NHA is responsible for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of Pakistan’s National Highways and Motorways, as well as the collection of tolls on these roads. The NHA also plays a role in the development of regional and urban transport projects, and is responsible for the administration of the Pakistan National Highway and Motorway Police. The NHA was established in 1991 as an attached department of the Ministry of Communications, and is currently headed by a Chairman appointed by the government of Pakistan.
